Did you know? Nearing the end of November let’s think about adoption & what that can mean for a child in the position to be adopted. Each year, November is recognized as National Adoption Awareness Month, encouraging communities to support the thousands of children across the country in need of permanent families. National Adoption Month is a collective effort of state, federal, and private agencies to draw attention to the more than 100,000 foster children and youth across the country who await permanent families, as well as recognize those who have chosen to expand their families in this special way. National Adoption Month is also a call to action. Become a foster family, open your home to adoption, become a CASA volunteer, a youth mentor, or support an organization that helps children living in foster care. Your involvement will not only change a child’s life, but will also change yours. #nationaladoptionmonth #casaofmissoula #casamissoula ... See more

Heartwarming article shared below about the amazing things a CASA can do for a child who needs them most! “We typically enter a child’s life at the most traumatic time...CASA’s goal is to be a dependable, constant and presence for kids in the winds of any changes...Our independence and rigorous training allows us to become the second set of eyes the judge is looking for.” ... "Many CASAs routinely go above and beyond when it comes to researching their cases and better understanding their underage clients. For example, one CASA baked cookies with her child. Another CASA spent hours at a bowling alley arcade to bond with her child. And another CASA planted flowers with her child, hoping that both the flowers and their relationship blossoms. These playful activities help prompt kids to share their feelings openly, not forced from a barrage of intimate questions." A great little dedication to the awesome service our volunteers provide. ♥️😊 ... See more
